My wife, Deaconess Sherma P. McLucas, was born in Roseau, Dominica and raised in Fayetteville, NC from the age of 5. She attended and graduated from Terry Sanford High School followed by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to study nursing. Upon completion of college, Sherma returned to Fayetteville in 2002 where she then began regular attendance at the Household of Faith W.O.C.
I, Deacon Michael McLucas, was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. Following attendance and graduation from Cape Fear High School, I entered the work force. I am currently employed with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center where I have been employed for over 10 years. After a brief job relocation to Newport News, VA, I returned to Fayetteville in 2005 where I began regular attendance at the Household of Faith W.O.C.
My wife and I pledged to join in Dec/Jan 2006/2007 after which the church accepted us as full pledge members. On July 7th, 2007 Pastor Larry Carter ordained us in Holy Matrimony. United as one, we began attending Wednesday night Bible study and Sunday School classes. Our earnest desire to learn and study the Word called us into our current positions as Deacon and Deaconess. Our duties in the church include, but are not limited to: active involvement with the youth department ministry, audiovisual and tape staff, along with acting as moderators in a marriage retreat conference.
My wife and I continue to look forward to what the Lord has in store for us.
Our favorite scripture is Psalms 103.
